Rosa's
Philosophy
Every morning
I see a black & white photo of myself as a little girl. In it,
I am near three years old. I stare at the familiar eyes, and I feel
inspired. This little blonde girl who smiles at me each day is the
epitome of a happy child with eyes trusting and hopeful.
I am in awe and
wonder over the blank template of Life that was ahead of me at that
age. I teach my young son that he can accomplish anything and become
anyone he desires; the world is his palette. The opportunities are
limitless! As an adult living in the free world, I know this to
be true. In his youth, he has not yet the personal growth to appreciate
the fullness of this statement. So I hold on to the appreciation
for Life for both him and myself, and I feed him this as he grows.

Seeing myself
as a child through adult eyes creates a spiritual bridge that
encourages me to be kind to myself. I am reminded that just
like that little girl, I have days ahead of me that are for
me to create as I choose. Imagine that: we create our attitude
which creates our environment , and in turn, our lives. Like
Yin and Yang, dark and light, there are two sides of every
coin. As author Debbie Ford offers, You get to choose which
set of eyes you are looking through. You can choose a higher
thought, a higher vibration.
The power
of the Law of Attraction staggers me!

I think to myself,
if she were my child, what promising and good things would I want
for her Life? I wonder and muse as I go about my day, what kind
of person would I hope she grew up to be? And I thread this goodwill
into my personal psyche every day, realizing that the child in this
old photo that was worthy of a promising life, fulfillment and wellness
is actually still myself. Connecting with a photo of myself when
the world was first at my feet, brings the world to me again and
feeds me a brilliant new purpose each day. As George Bernard Shaw
said, Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating
yourself.
There is purpose
in all of our lives. Sometimes we serve as the teacher to
others, other times they exist to teach us. Full circle - we emerge,
we grow, we fly, we break, we heal ... and we start again. Nothing
is ever random; every moment, every move, every event, every outcome
- these are all pieces of a beautifully threaded plan, orchestrated
by a higher power that we cannot begin to wrap our heads around.
Every pay-it-forward or random act of kindess is a ripple effect
of some enchanted serendipity that was created and placed in our
path at the right place at exactly the right time. I believe we
can make our own serendipities if our eyes, heart and soul are open
to finding these moments.
And so, my
personal philosophy has always been:
| |
Though no one can go back and make
a brand new start,
anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
... what will your new ending be?
